Image alts and titles might be new to some of you but they are a great SEO technique for improving how your rank in image search results in search engines, and with search engines regularly pulling image results into the main search results pages you need to do everything you can to rank well here.

Image alts and titles help to give context to an image so search engines (and users using a screen reader) can better understand what that image represents or what is featured in it, in turn this helps search engines to understand what the image is about and when it might be useful to show it in search results.

In this video we look at how you can tell if an image has alternative and title text and how to add it to your images if they don't, it's super quick and should be incorporated into your content creation process.

You can find all of our videos on our YouTube Channel (don't forget to like & subscribe) and they will also be posted to the website on a regular basis. We've kept them short to make them digestible and covered just the essentials you need to get going, we want you to get the most of out the platform rather than bamboozling you with detail.
