PaceSetter, the platform DO Digitel introduced to help businesses track Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed Insights and improve their website load time continues to evolve and keep pace with the constantly changing digital landscape. For us, it's important that we do this so the businesses we help are working with the latest information which will best help them improve the metrics that matter.
Google Introduces INP & TTFB
An example of this was the recent introduction of two new metrics known as INP & TTFB.
INP (Interaction to Next Paint)
INP is short for Interaction to Next Paint and represents the time taken between a user action, such as clicking a link to visit another page and actually being shown this page. A shorter INP means users are less likely to be frustrated and therefore will have a better experience on your website, as we've discussed previously, better website experiences mean better sales.
TTFB (Time To First Byte)
TTFB on the other hand is short for Time To First Byte and is a score of how long the first byte of information takes to reach the user from them requesting that information. While there are many elements which can impact TTFB, a common cause is a slow server taking too long to process user requests.
