Yes, Google has decided to close down their free feature connected to Google My Business (now called Google Business Profiles, snappy) which allowed businesses to create a free website containing more details about their company and its services.

With features such as galleries and testimonials, Google Business Profile websites gave a space for potential customers to discover more detail about a business and the removal of this platform means that potential customers could now be left with less choice.

As per our example in the video below, smaller businesses may not have the time, or resource to create a new website on a different platform. To help small businesses, we're going to work on a video showing small business owners how to create a new website on some of the many free website builders which are available.

Don't forget, that if you do decide to go down the route of a new website, we've got loads of tips and advice to help you, such as support on creating informative content, easy SEO tips and website hygiene help.

You can find all of our videos on our YouTube Channel (don't forget to like & subscribe) and they will also be posted to the website on a regular basis. We've kept them short to make them digestible and covered just the essentials you need to get going, we want you to get the most of out the platform rather than bamboozling you with detail.
